Brands in China capitalizing on Uniqlo sex scandal

The indecent video made by a couple from Sanlitun (三里屯), Beijing, China from the one of Uniqlo Co., Ltd. (株式会社ユニクロ Kabushiki-gaisha yunikuro?) (pronounced “YOU-nee-klo” in English[1]), a Japanese casual wear designer, manufacturer and retailer’s store is being capitalized by Chinese brands over the past few days with trending keywords such as “uniqlo sex scandal“, “uniqlo couples” and “uniqlo sanlitun scandal” being among the top keywords being ridden on.

The capitalization of this trending issue since July 17th, 2015 is reflected on a few other retail items such as T-shirts and beds. More chinese are seen taking selfies in front of Uniqlo retail stores. In a country where humility and chastity is highly regarded and valued, China is deeply upset by this event.
